London Factory Worker (Janae Walker)

Shifting jobs overseas will simply ruin my life. This job is the only thing keeping my family and I alive. Going overseas for cheap labor and resources will diminish my job into nothing and I know the same goes for many other families. Shifting job would demolish the economy. Many would be out of a job and unable to fend for their family. Do not get me wrong here, I detest the factories and if there was another way that I could care for my family I would. The horrid conditions and low pay are however certainly better than the life I would live if jobs shifted overseas. Where would I work?  How would I survive? I need my job and so do many others. If jobs were to go overseas that would be the end of my existents.

  1. I completely agree and can relate to what you have to say. Going overseas would be a huge risk that quite honestly, I am not willing to take. Honestly, is life so bad right now? You may think that factory work is tiring and harsh. Yet, couldn't things be much worse than they are now? After seeing your outlook on the situation, I can genuinely agree with you. Staying in factories is the safest choice as of now. We may not be happy, but we are alive!

  2. You are wrong when you saw shifting jobs would demolish the economy. It would do the exact opposite, it would boost it. We only have the comparative advantage in Britain. If we shift jobs over seas we will also gain the comparative advantage of those nations. This would bring Britain even more money than what it has right now. In all revolutions there are sacrifices that the people must make. Your job might be one of them, but it's for the greater good of Britain.

  3. I agree. We cannot shift the jobs overseas. I don't want to leave my family and I am happy with life how it is. Also if we didn't move with the jobs overseas, we would be left without jobs which wouldn't do anyone any good. I can only pray that this drastic change will not happen. If this happened I would have no more hope in British leaders.
