Adam Smith (Emma Schambers)

The effects of the Industrial Revolution have impacted all citizens in very positive ways. Farming is much more efficient now. It is much easier for farmers now due to new advances in technology. All of this new technology leads to growing and healthy crops that impact the people in a great way. A lot more people are being fed and the number of people who do not have food is decreasing. Many factories and mills were built and have opened up jobs to so many people. These new job openings are very convenient due to the major advances in technology. Many people were able to pursue entrepreneurship because of the new technology. These people were becoming more successful than they had ever dreamed of being. Overall, the Industrial Revolution had a very positive impact on the people.

  1. Yes! Isn' it fantastic! The Industrial Revolution has opened up so many opportunities to everyone! This will become monumental to this city, this country and this world! One new invention or innovation leads to a new job or business that leads to this society growing, changing and evolving for the better. To think how daily life was before seems unimaginable with all of these new inventions and machines making our lives easier. It's so amazing and eye opening isn't it? It makes you wonder what the possibilities could be for the future! This is an evolution of life and its incredible. People themselves, like you said, have more food and the population has never been better! These inventions saved so many lives by providing a supple food source for the new growing population. The Industrial Revolution was most definitely a positive impact on all citizens and the positive impacting will only continue!

  2. (London Factory Worker)
I strongly disagree with you. The conditions of the factories are horrendous. We work long hard hours at a job that is dangerous and could kill a worker. The housing is even worst. Most live on cramped tenements without pumping. The smell is awful and the water is contaminated. The conditions of the factories and housing has deteriorated.
