Charles De Gaulle (RJ Mathieu)

Pre 1945 After France's Initial Defeat
The talk of change is starting to make me sick. Yes, yes, change is necessary and improves life for others... But to change France and take away its title as one of the world's prominent superpowers? How dégoutant! Have they forgotten our past, our extravagant, undeniable past? Sickening to say the least. The arrogance to deny us what we have fought, killed, and died for. The talk of "extremism..." nonsense! Change is needed but not in great quantities. Ask anyone! Everyone is happy and healthy. Why denounce France as a minor country? That is an injustice one that will be denied and destroyed, through the puddles of ink or those of blood. Oh yes... the politics. Well I say leave those to the blood suckers and the prestige of France to us soldiers. The prime minister and government can polish the details. The "Allies" say we are weak. It was one period of weakness. We are France. The noble, incorrigible France. The land of the free fighters, the land of prosperity. Now we are weak. Soon we will be strong. We are France. We are eternal.

  1. The same situation is occurring in London at this very moment. Why change? Why spend so much time and money and sacrifice so many lives simply for the chance at fixing something immoral, unjust and unfixable? We are obligated to send our family off to war to defend our country from evil that should be exterminated in the first place. So many lives and resources are being wasted on something that is not necessary. It is pointless and a waste.

  2. Your words provide some encouragement to the people of France. But in the end, that's all they are; words. You can promise the people of a "strong" and "eternal" France, or even extermination of the fascist ideology, but until you take action against these mongrels, you are no better than them, perhaps even worse. You people speak with bravado, but bravado is of no use to a people still struggling through an economic depression. The French government has done little to prevent the spread of extremism. Instead, you have stood idly by and watched. While like you, I reject extremism, France needs to take a more active role in the halt of extremism. It may not be the worst idea to start a war. Think of the wonders it could do for the businesses.
