Neville Chamberlain (Samantha Licciardi)
I, Neville Chamberlain, am completely shocked. Truly blindsided. I feel as if all the work, planning and negotiating I have spent years on to protect my country of Great Britain and other European countries, has been thrown away. I had underestimated Hitler. My appeasement to Hitler has failed. He played us all. I feel like a fool for believing he would cease firing at other countries and no longer try to gain territory. He is a power hungry dictator and always will be. I absolutely believe we did everything we could have to prevent war, but Hitler is persistent and does not stop until he gets what he wants. Unfortunately in this case, that is war. Hitler is not willing to negotiate with anyone. The Polish Government even said they were willing to negotiate terms but Hitler's response was to invade, bomb, and kill the people of Poland. He has proven that he puts his senseless ambitions above all else, and it is clear he will continue to do so. Now, our only option is to begin preparing for terrible war. We will be ready and we have a greater chance this time than back in 1914. With leaders such as Hitler there will never be peace in Europe and this is the chance we have to shut these dictators down. As shocked as I am to discover this appalling news of invasion and betrayal of his word on Hitler's behalf, all we can do now is look into the future and prepare for the worst.

You contradict yourself Neville! Wasn't it you that allowed him to seize back some of his German land back. Well Poland is made up of previously owned German land! He has all the right to take back what was his int he first place. I say it was Poland's fault for taking it in the first place after the Great War. Poland had no right to take land away from Russia and Germany. We must take back the land in order to ever establish unity. It is what is deserving!
ReplyDeleteHi Neville, you may think what Hitler is doing is quite malice and morally wrong, yet if Britain had the power to completely conquer and invade other lands, would you do so? Hitler is so powerful that he doesn't need to preoccupy himself with contracts and such. With his strength he can make it through any situation prosperous. If Poland was conquered in just a week, that proves that they did not have the stamina to even stand alone. Also if you have such a problem with Hitler's power, then you should have not appeased him, you are one of the several who simply stood on he sidelines and allowed him to gain more strength. I Francisco Franco envy the power in which Hitler obtains, I tried to be a part of the axis powers. Hitler denied me, as much as this frustrates me, I know that I could never oppose the man due to his superiority in Europe.
